Red Rash On Back Of Neck In Child. Is This Due To Excessive Sweating & Can Use Absorb Dusting Powder For This?
Thanks for writing in.
Red rash over the back of the neck in 4 month old baby can be Milliaria, periporitis,
follicullitis, intertrigo etc.
Also I would like to know
a)Is the baby having fever?
b)Is the rash painful? Is the baby crying on touching the affected area?
c)Are there similar skin bumps anywhere else on the body?
Please answer above questions to help you better.
If you can upload good close up photographs of lesions it would be of great help.
Meanwhile keep the baby in cool environment.
Clean the affected area with wet cool cloth.
You can use abzorb powder as it contains clotrimazole an antifungal agent.
You can also apply soframycin cream for 2-3 days over affected area.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the details.
According to description provided it appears to be intertrigo. But it cannnot be confirmed as you have not not provided images.
Continue with ABZORB powder and soframycin cream for 5 days .
If it is not resolved in 5 days better see a doctor.
Wishing the baby faster recovery.
