Red Spots On Feet, Ankles And Calf. No Itching Or Swelling. Not Cured By Cortizone Cream. Any Ideas?

Question: Hi , My son has had little red spots which started on his feet, ankles, and up his calfs. There is no itch, or swelling. He has had this for about 3 weeks, he saw our family doctor gave him cortizone cream, it doesn't help.
Now he says they are clumping together. Any ideas?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM!
Your son may possibly have a condition called henock schonlein purpura .
This is a vasculitis.
He may have abdominal pain, mild joint pains etc.
This presents with rash like this -initially discrete and later may become confluent.
The other possibilities are viral rash- Without fever it is unlikely to be viral in origin.
Take care
Good luck
