Semen Analysis Done. Why Does The Results Vary?
Question: sir i got my semen analysis report three times as below:-
Ist report on10/12/08:-Qty-0.5ml,active-45%,sluggish-10%,non motile-45%,sperm count-40million/ml,puss cells 3-4/hpf and after 1hr it shows active-30%,sluggish-20%,non motile-50%,liquefaction time 1hr.
IInd report on 30/03/12:-Qty2.5ml,active58%,concentration95m/ml,morphology41%,MSC55.1m/ml,FSC38.4m/ml,SMI268,all sperm in sample190m,motile sperm110m,func. sperm76.8m,liquefaction time 30min.
IIIrd report on 08/05/12:-Volume-1.0ml,Total sperm count-65million/ml,Active-15%,Sluggish-45%,
Non-motile-40%,10-12 pus cells/HPF seen.(no time given for analysis and liquefaction )
sir why every time reports are varying and what all reports means.sir reply me as early as possible.

The semen analysis varies from time to time.
The values may get altered if there is viral fever or certain drugs
intake stress etc.
As far as the values are within range one should not bother.
Please do semen C&S and take appropriate antibiotics.
Repeat semen exam after 4-6 wks (complete analysis)
The volume was low on both occasions
Before giving sample ensure abstinence of 3-5 days and avoid spliiage
Collection should be done in hospital

Sir You have replied only half of my question.I also asked that what all reports means or shows.Is there any serious issue with the reports or it is curable.If anything is wrong in my reports then what it is and what i should do in that condition as an remedial action.

In first and third sample volume is low.
Count is OK in all 3.
Motility is poor in last sample
Liquefaction time is slightly delayed.
I will rate the first and third report as fair and second report good
