Should I Be Concerned About Popping Of Neck And Shoulder After A Fall?
Question: i have a question about neck injuries. I was leaning over from the couch to pick up my drink that had fell and my neck and shoulder both popped when i did this. I haven't noticed any pain, bruising, and im not having any trouble breathing, but i am still scared that i may have damaged my neck. Can you offer some medical advice on if i may need to see a doctor, or not?
Brief Answer:
you are unlikely to have neck injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for query
The injury you described and symptoms you told do not look serious.
You have no pain even, so you are unlikely to have neck injury. Even if you have some popping, treatment would not be needed.
If you are still worried and/or there is pain on neck movement and/or any abnormal sensation in limbs and body you may consult local physician. Your doctor will decide on examination whether you need further investigations or not.
Do not worry. Hope this helps, any further query I shall be happy to answer.
Thank you.

Thanks for your help. I did start having somewhat of a burning sensation along the center and left side of my neck, but it only happens if i move a certain way. Its more of an irritation than anything else. Other than that i haven't noticed any new symptoms and im not experiencing pain. Could i have just strained my neck muscles, or my legimates?
Brief Answer:
There is no harm in consulting a doctor
Detailed Answer:
If you have such burning sensation then you should consult a physician/spine specialist /Neurosurgeon / Orthopedician and get evaluated. There may not be anything but trauma may have bizarre presentation, I mean it is difficult to comment with 100% certainty. There is no harm in consulting a doctor even if there is little doubt.Hope you got your answer. Thank you.
