Brief Answer: They are not a necessary dietary need unless need Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. Probiotics are not a necessary dietary need and you do not need them everyday. The body has a system in place that contains good germs which keep away the bad germs. Unless there is a distortion of the balance between the good germs and the bad germs, there is no reason to consider re-establishing it by using probiotics. Although more research is needed, there's encouraging evidence that probiotics may help treat diarrhea, (especially following treatment with certain antibiotics) prevent and treat vaginal yeast infections and urinary tract infections, treat irritable bowel syndrome, reduce bladder cancer recurrence, speed treatment of certain intestinal infections, prevent and treat eczema in children, and prevent or reduce the severity of colds and flu. These are some of the advantages that have been observed but more rigorous quality research needs to be done to get all these validated. If you have any of these mentioned possible uses of probiotics, it is worth associating them with standard treatment because of their rare side effects and possible benefits. However, I will never prescribe this as a lone method of treatment to any of my patients. In all, you do not really need to take probiotics or even take them everyday. If there is a suggested benefit in a given condition, associate it to standard treatment because it may be helpful but not harmful. You do not also need daily vitamin supplements unless your diet is not balanced or there is a clear reason like deficiency or increased needs. This is a great waste of money when there is no clear reason for taking them. Read more on this at: WWW.WWWW.WW I hope this addresses your query fully.
