Skin Turned Blue On Chest, Arm And Shoulder. What Is Causing This And Treatment Required?

Question: My 5 year old daughter turned blue on her chest and upper arms and shoulders. she feels fine and she is playing, she is not blue around her lips or her finger tips just chest upper back and shoulders, what could this be?

There are some questions you need to answer.
1. What exactly happened before she turned blue?
2.Did she cry aloud stop her breath/did she choke on her food/did she ingest something/did she have any breathing problem?
3.How did she recover and what was done to relieve her?
4.Was she exposed to sudden cold weather?
Generally selective local cyanosis does not occur.It might be an transient block in blood supply or sudden exposure to cold that causes local cyanosis.
Please keep a close watch on her.It it occurs again take a photograph and consult your doctor.
If she is not blue on her lips,tongue and fingertips there is not much to worry.
