Small, Flat, Spongy Place In Neck, Had Complete Hysterectomy. Concerned?

Question: I have a small flat spongy place at the base if my neck in the middle of my collarbone. I haven't noticed until a few weeks ago. I am a 50 year old female - had a complete hysterectomy 5 years ago. Should I be concerned?

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query.
Kindly provide some more information about your problem.
Where exactly is the 'spongy place'?
Is it like a lump or a swelling? How big is it?
Does it move? Does it cause pain/restrict movement?
Were any tests done?
As such collar bone is a flat bone and is not strong as other limb bones. The Hysterectomy procedure may not be related with this complaint.
Further details may help in assisting you further.
Regards.
