Suffering From GAD, Headache, Fever, Allergies, Achy Sore Eyes And Tesion. What It Could Be?

Question: I suffer from GAD, and I have worries especially about health.

AT the moments I am worried about headaches. I am only 19 and no family history.

I also suffer from hay fever and allergies.

I have headaches at the back of my head and behind my ears, and also top of my head. Sometimes on one side and then on the other side.

Also I get like a tension feeling achy sore eye and eye lid. And again it can be on its own with o headache. And will be on one side. Then can change to the next.

Also I get pressure on bridge of my nose. Sometime squat on left sometimes just on right. And sometimes right in the middle of eyebrows.

Also get some pressure under my eyebrows.

All these have never all happened at once.

And it does all go away.

I also have the feeling of phlegm running down my throat. And an occasional runny nose.

Is this down to my anxiety?

Also if I have any of those feelings and I take a hot shower they go away.

Is this all ok?
Also I had my eyes checked fully as I described my symptoms above to my eye doctor, and my test were absolutely perfect. Ad he said perhaps hayfever

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

You have vague symptoms, Though your headache which is some times frontal and at other it is either on right or on left and some times disappears as at present, similarily you may some time having runing nose and some times feel congestion.

Your ophthalmic examination had already being done and was found O.K.You may also check yourself by C.T.scan of sinuses to rule out sinusitis. In my opinion your all these symptoms are due to -

(a) Anxiety.

(b) Allergy.

Since now your all symptoms are gone so no need for advicing symptomatic treatment. Your worry about health may be managed by good physical examination including general parameters to assure you about your good health.

Regards.

Hi

Thanks for the revert.

I always advise my patients to take Antihistamines in evening hours say about 7 to 8 P.M. ,because all antihistamines are having more or less sedation. By taking it in evening time, it's sedation effects comes about after 4 hours i.e. at about 11 P.M. which is already the time of sleeping. Thus, in the morning you awake at right time with full alertness.
