Suffering From Fever, Cold And Cough. What Are The Chances Of Typhoid?

Question: Hi i was suffering fever, cold and cough past 3-4 days. Once everything subsided i decided to get check up before resuming work , although i had no traces of any kind of fever doctor suggested i might be having initial stage typhoid as the reading for salmonella Thyphi "O" showed as 1;80. So does this mean i have typhoid??
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for sharing your concern.
It appears that you have recovered from a viral infection. This report of Widal test 1:80 titre is not significant, you do not have Typhoid fever as a single report (unless the titre is <1:160 ). Only a four fold rise in titre is significant.
If there is no fever and you are feeling well certainly you can resume your work.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries, if any.
Regards.
