Suffering From Frequent Loose Bowel Movement And Pain In Pelvic Bone. Are They Related?

Question: I am a 53 year male. For the past 2 months I haven't had a solid bowel movement. Almost immediately after I eat
I need to go. I mean. I need to go! My movements are a weird color. Greenish yellow usually. I have had a slight pain on my right side just above my pelvic bone. Thought I strained something, but it won't go away.I don't know if the two are related.

Hello, XXXXXXX,
I am glad that you have had a colonoscopy and it was
normal. The fact that you have urgency and watery type
of stools does seem like IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
The color of the stool depends on the kinds of food and
drink that we consume. Also, the amount of bile that is
released into the intestine.
If you eat more fatty foods,it takes a little longer to
empty the stomach.Carbohydrates, sugars, leave the
stomach faster.
You need to increase fiber in your diet. Whole grains,
fresh vegetables,3-4 servings of fruits are good.
Adequate fluid intake is needed also.
If you have not had a sonogram of your gallbladder,
get that done to rule out gallstones.
Iwish you well.
