Hello,

diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker (a non-dihydropyridine). Another non-dihydropyridine is verapamil. Since you already take metoprolol which is a beta blocker, taking diltiazem or verapamil may cause various problems to the heart rhythm. I would suggest adjusting metoprolol dosage to achieve a heart rate within your cardiologist's targets. But if you'd like an alternative for diltiazem, then verapamil is a similar drug.

Thank you, I thought the same. I just needed some collaboration. I wanted to know how to get off. Dilitiazem safely. I just started...this is really my second month.

Since you'll be substituting diltiazem with another drug and/or a higher dose of metoprolol, you'll have no problem with that. The problem you may have when you stop diltiazem (without adding another drug) is with your heart rate. The other drugs and the dosage adjustment should take care of your heart rate.
