Should I Be Concerned For Heartburn And Weakness After Taking Metoprolol?
I have long term HBP. My dr just changed my meds from atenolol to metoprolol. My BP today was 106/90. Am feeling very bad. Have an appt tomorrow. My systolic has never been that low. Diastolic is about average for me. I was having pain sort of like heartburn and am very weak. I am 55 y/o. Should there be any concern?
A systolic blood pressure reading of 106 is generally considered to be within the normal range. It's important to remember that blood pressure can fluctuate throughout the day, so it's possible that your blood pressure could be different at your appointment tomorrow.
However, if you are feeling very bad and experiencing pain similar to heartburn, it's important to seek medical attention immediately. These symptoms could be indicative of a heart-related issue, and it's better to err on the side of caution and get evaluated as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
