Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Substitute For Nexito
Question: Dear doctor,
I am almost 30 and have been prescribed the anti-depressant tablet Nexito 10 ,which I have been taking for the past 4 years for my slight depression. However, the pharmacy near my house no longer sells this.They sell 'Nexito forte' and 'Nexito plus'.They say that it is the same but I want to make sure.Do these other kinds of Nexito, like Nexito plus carry the same dosage as one Nexito 10 tablet? Are they a stronger or a weaker does?Do they have side effects like drowsiness? If they are not exactly the same, please let me know.Please advise me on this.Thanks.

Nexito contains 10 mg of escitalpram while nexito plus and nexito forte contains 10mg of escitalpram and 0.25 mg and .5 mg clonazepam respectively.
So it can be said that they contain additional medication which is not required for you.
Having said this clonazepam have its own side effects and drowsiness is one among them.
You are requested to ask your pharmasist to dispense only required medication and avoid believing the false statement of pharmacist.
