Suggest Alternative Medication For Severe Cough

Question: My throat got infected last three days and Taking madicine monticop at night and allegra-180 in morning. Feeling improved if i dont start this medicine throat gets woesen with too much cough as six month back i expirenced. Pls suggest me is this right treatment or should i strat antiboitic. Pls suggest

Here I would like further information fro better assessment like
Since how long you are taking allegro and monticop?
what all symptoms you are having like throat pain or pain on swallowing
Relevant medical history like diabetes or other metabolic disease or symptoms of acid reflux?

In my opinion you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision.
You should do gargling with warm saline water or antiseptic mouth wash.
You should take multivitamin supplements and vitamin C.

I am taking for last three days. I had same problem and doctor advised under go same treatment and it cured. I am not diabetic or metabolic disease. Last night felt acid and too much cough while sleeping. Pls suggest the medicine as rightnow feeling irritation in throat, watering from nose ang cough while lying.

You may require azithromycin or penicillin group of antibiotics with anti acidity medicines like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids
You can use nasal saline drops or xylometazoline nasal drops for running nose
you can take cough syrup for coughing
