Question: Hi Dr, Post my angioplasty I am on following medicines offlate i have stop taking MetXL-25.
Today, I am taking following medicines
1) Consivas 40 mg
2) prax A 10 mg/ 75
Both are expensive and as i have to take it on regular basis i am looking for genric medicines of same salt .
I am currently at ahemdabad relocated feom XXXXXXX
Kindly advice subsitute genric medicine

1. Consivas contains ROSUVASTATIN. There are less options available in market for 40mg strength. However, two tablets of 20 mg are equally good. Beside generic, following brands are relatively cheap. Roseday. Novastat. Z-stat. You can try for more cheaper brands too.
2. Prax-A contains Prasugrel (10mg)and Aspirin (75mg). There are few combinations of these drugs. Generics may not be available. Prasugrel has following brands- APLET. APGREL. EFIPLAT.
3. Please do consult your primary/ treating doctor before you make any changes in your medicines.
