Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Paracetamol Taken For High Fever During Pregnancy

Can take injectable Paracetamol.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Paracetamol is the only safe and effective agent during pregnancy for treatment of high grade fevers.
IF oral paracetamol is not helping you, you may need intravenous / intramuscular injectable Paracetamol.
Tepid sponging will help.
The pain in the legs will go once the fever subsides.
You cannot take very strong medications because of the pregnancy.
And yes, please get a blood culture test done.
Have you got routine blood tests for fever done ?
For the cough, you can take steam inhalation, gargle with warm saline.
You should take daily Vitamin C supplements ( Limcee ) 1 tablet daily, to boost your immunity.
Take hot chicken soup/ broth, green tea, ginger broth etc.
All these are supportive for fever with cold / cough.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have few other questions below:
Yes routine blood and urine tests were done and the doctor told me that I have mild urine infection (3-6 pus cells & 1-2 epithelial cells) and the blood count is little higher and he said it doesn't seem to be a viral so took blood for culture sensitivity, LFT and malarial parasite test. Results will be coming on Monday only.
I have noticed ulcers in vagina from Thursday. It started like a heat boil, yesterday it looked like ulcers. My family doctor gave me potassium permanganate for wash and benadryl syrup as anti allergic. The ulcers are painless and I don't have any burning or itching also. What could it be?
Though my chills have reduced, fever is constantly there and I'm taking Paracetamol every 3-4 hours.
Please help me out of this and will all this affect my baby ? If so what can be done now to prevent it?
As below
Detailed Answer:
I have gone through the pictures.
Have you ever had such ulcers earlier ?
Sometimes, such stress ulcers may happen during fever.
You should consult your gynecologist, not the family doctor, and have the ulcers swabbed and tested.
Please get tested ( ulcers swabbed ) for herpes also.
Get a urine culture test done also.
Do not let the temperature go beyond 101 degrees, as it can harm your baby.
Tepid sponging and round the clock Paracetamol is important.
If oral does not work, then injectable paracetamol.
Show your vaginal ulcers to a gynec at the earliest.
If possible, upload photos without applying the wash on it.
Take care.
