Suggest Alternative Medications In The Absence Of Indocin For Gout
![default](/r/images/default.png)
It is not possible to provide a prescription. You need a scrip from your MD
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this gout attack that you are having. It is true that indocid is among the best drugs to contra acute gout flares. Unfortunately, it needs a script to obtain it and only your doctor can provide a script for this. I will advise that you talk to your doctor.
In the absence of indocid, advil and Aleve are good substitutes. They work well in most patients as well. Please, avoid alcohol as this is a common trigger for gouty arthritis. Also, avoid excess red meat consumption, eat much vegetables and fruits, drink enough water and exercise often to help reduce acute crisis.
In all, I cannot provide a script for indocid. Aleve and Advil would help you address the pains while you arrange to see your doctor. No alcohol, healthy diet and regular exercise alongside drinking much water would help in resolving the current flare and preventing futures flares as well.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
