Suggest Alternative Medicine For Hypothyroidism

Question: I know I have hypothyroidism, I am now willing to take prescription drugs. I am looking for alternative meds for this. For the last year and a half I have had abnormal thyroid tests. I went to a Naturopathic Dr. in my early 20's and was put on an herbal thyroid, that worked for years. I have two kiddos now and quit taking my herbal thyroid when I got pregnant with my first child, and am in rough shape now. I am fatigued, I have gained a few pounds, constipated as well as have a million other symptoms hypothyroid can cause. I just need to get it back under control. Do you have any suggestions?

Noted your concerns.
Please understand that your thyroid stops working gradually in hypothyroidism and require replacement with thyroid hormone. Once the thyroid is dysfunctional, no herbs or supplements work. Modern medicine has advanced so much . Levothyroxibe z (synthroid) is a very effective and safe drug in hypothyroidism. Why to suffer when we have such a safe and fantastic drug?
One other thing to do is to take sufficient Iodine in diet.
