Suggest An Alternative Medicine For Tobramycin For Pseudomonas Of The Nail
acetic acid , culture sensitivity, no OTC should be used as alternative
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
There is no OTC alternative for treating pseudomonas infection adequately. Antiseptic ointments are good options against Pseudomonas. 1% acetic acid solution can be applied along with trimming back the nail and subsequently treating it with antibiotics based on bacterial culture and sensitivity which would show whether the organisms involved are multidrug resistant or not.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Pseudomonal infections involving the nail can potentially lead to necrotizing fasciitis, necrosis and gangrene, especially if it involves adjacent skin structures. You should get your G.P to examine it and try to keep it dry from now onwards.
Thanks.
