No time-release medicines.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
There are no time-release medicines for Meniere's.
Antivert contains
meclizine. Another Medicine which can help you is
cinnarizine, I am afraid to say whether this is available in your area ( country). This alternative medicine has less dopey effect. The other Medicines which can work are many , and I would request you to discuss this with your treating Doctor, as also a chance of treatment of intratympanic injection of Gentamycine or
steroid.
There are other alternative therapies and medicines which can help you.
As you may be knowing, Meniere's has no definite treatment hence one needs to try all the permutations and combinations as per individual requirements and responses and the nature of the work.
As you are 79 years old- There are certain things you have to abide by- Never be alone/ do not latch-pack the bathroom/ No walking up or down the stairs, Away from fire/
These extra precautions are a must.
Bed rest, reducing the salt intake, Yoga/ concentration/ meditation/ acupressure can help further.
Diuretics and medicines like
diazepam are best avoided in your case beacuse of the age.
I hope this helps you a bit or more to have a controlled Meniere's
