Brief Answer: I have enclosed the constituents of that drug Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern. Pioglitazone that is one of the constituents of Gluconorm GP 1 , was initially banned but later released with warning. You can get easily with names Glycomet PG-1 , Triglycomet, Exermet PG-1. I will tell you composition, so that you can ask your pharmacist to provide you the same drugs with other brand name. It contains : 1. Metformin 2. Pioglitazone 3. Glimiperide. In case you don't get the combination, you can take Glycomet GP-1 (Contains Metformin and Glimiperide) and Pioz that you are already taking contains Pioglitazone. If you want to discuss about the treatment part, please share with us your blood sugar readings and also if any investigations you have. This is my best opinion for you based on details available here. Still if you have any query, please ask me. Stay Healthy
