Brief Answer:
Trial of Bupopion/ Mirtazapine in place of nexito.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through your query and can understand your concern regarding decreased libido.

Nexito is Escitalopram which is an effective antidepressant. One of the known side effects of escitalopram is decreased sexual desire. To overcome this effect, the recommended way is to shift to another anti-depressant which doesn't have any sexual side effects. Two such drugs are Mirtazapine and Bupropion. Any other medication together with Escitalopram will not help with your problem.

You should discuss with your psychiatrist regarding the possible options and accordingly Escitalopram can be tapered and stopped and one of either Bupropion or Mirtazapine can be gradually started.

I do hope that I was able to answer your query. Please let me know if you have any further doubts.

Best wishes,

Dr. Sunil Gupta
