Suggest An Ideal Diet Plan For A 7 Month Old Baby
Question: Hello Doctor, I have been consulting you online for my 7 month baby.
I have couple of questions about her diet plan. I started her with solids after 6 months but only recently, she is showing little interest in her food.
1. I give her 2 tablespoon of mashed banana at 10
2. I give her boiled and mashed rice with dal and veggies (2 tbsp.) at 12:30-1
3. I give her 1/4 apple juice at 5:30. I started by boiling and mashing apple but she is not taking it at all.
4. I give her 2 tbsp. of same rice at 9:00 pm
She is continuing with her breastfeeding in the intervals.
My question being, is it sufficient for her right now? What can I add to her current diet so that she gets all her required nutrients. Also, is giving juice harmful? She is not taking boiled fruits.
One more question. She is currently 11 kgs and about 70 cm. Her doctor says she is on higher side. But I have a history of heavy kids in my family. Even I weighed around 12 kgs at 8 months. I have subsequently reduced when I started walking.
The doctor says not to worry too much about her food as she is on the higher side, But I feel it is wrong logic as nutrients has nothing to do with her weight. She was exclusively breastfed for first 6 months.
Please let me know.

Brief Answer:
Food is adequate.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Nice to see you once again.
You need not to worry about weight.
Weight is already very good.
There are certain periods when babies refuse food for no reason, but it will be solved on its own.
Continue the same food, just one thing to do is change the babies food after certain interval.
Like you can try poha, upma, shira, soji alternately.
Do not worry about the nutrition, as the baby is already getting variety of food.
Do not force the baby to eat, baby will take the amount of food he/she needed.
Hope I helped you.
