Suggest An Over The Counter Medicine For Sciatica Back Pain
Question: I have sciatica back pain and am confused as to what the best over the counter pain meds would be best for me with a sensitive stomach. Extra strength Excedrine, Aleve, Acetamimophen??? I am having acupuncture but need something safe each day to lower the pain level..I do specific exercises for back, swim and walk. Can you help me?

sciatica back pain is a chronic condition, approach towards its treatment should be multi-modal, including lower back muscle strengthening exercises, regular physical activity, maintaining appropriate posture while standing, walking & sitting and also relieving pain with suitable pain killers. Its good to hear that you have been following most of these.
Coming to class of pain killers you have mentioned, they all are prone to cause gastritis, in such situation I usually recommend Tab.Etoricoxib 90mg, a COX 2 inhibitor and known to cause least of side effects. However one should not indulge in taking pain killers everyday.
