Question: I want to deworm my 4 year old daughter for the first time. Kindly help me with the process and medication required.

Periodic deworming can be done in children. Syr. Bandy (albendazole) 10ml can be given today at night and the dose can be repeated after a fortnight. Nothing else needs to be done.

Yes, only these two doses would suffice.

There is no definite recommended frequency for deworming. Usually it is not done unless there is a definite cause for suspicion viz. pica, pallor or worms in stool. However, you can try deworming again after a couple of years.
