Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.
To calculate your calorie requirements, I needed to know what kind of regular work you do and whether you perform any extra work out apart from your daily work.
I presumed that you are sedentary worker and considering the same I found that your calorie restricted diet should contain calories not more than 1600.
Now, I would also need to know your waist and hip circumferences (to rule out central adiposity).
As you have a high BMI, you should also have the following tests done-
Fasting serum TSH, HbA1c, Fasting lipid profile.
If all of them are normal, with the current situation, my recommendations will be-
1. Fat restricted (not more than 2 tablespoons of oil) salt restricted ( less than 5g/day) high fibre diet
2. Diet should contain at least 100 gm of green leafy vegetables
3. Break your each meal into 2 halves and have frequent small meals preferably at 4 hr interval during daytime.
4. Regular exercise or yoga or brisk exercise at least 1hr/day.
5. Avoid junk foods, spices and carbonated beverages, tobacco and alcohol.

Thanks XXXXX for your reply.
So, I think my assumption was right that you are a sedentary worker. Central adiposity is not alarming, rather it is borderline. And I had actually provided the previous recommendations based on this status only. So you can definitely follow the.
Please also have the tests done at the earliest.
Thanks again and regards. Wish you a healthy life.
