If, however, your pressure is below 100/50, or if you experience giddiness, palpitations, swelling of the legs, then consult your doctor for a change in medications.
130/90 is still high. So please continue the medications.
I recommend :
- regular blood pressure monitoring
-reduced salt intake, reduce fatty, oily foods & refined grains. Add fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Drink plenty of water.
-mild to moderate exercise depending on your physical fitness and appropriate weight loss (if overweight)
-reduce caffeine intake and limit to one cup a day.
Follow up with your physician for appropriate control of blood pressure and to keep other risk factors at bay (high cholesterol, glucose levels) and avoid complications (renal disease and heart failure).

Pls let me know if I can reduce the dosage to only night or should I continue morning also.
I am 180 cm height and 72 kg weight.
I m slim . my waist is 34.
I have no sugar which i did test. ECG report is 90 normal
Pls advise me. I have not been taking salt for the past 3 years and I take only olive oil tat too little. Pure vegetarian and stopped cafeine recently
I walk atleast 3 kms per day this is my usual routine

You seem to be doing all the right things. Your weight is fine too. Please continue to do so. Go for yearly general check up and more frequently to monitor your blood pressures.
Quit smoking (if you do). If you have a high stress job, practice relaxing and calming deep breathing exercises. Yoga, meditation will also help.

Safer to take meds till lifestyle changes are enough

I understand your concern.
At present, it is safer to take the medications rather than not as your pressures are still on the higher side (ideally below or equal to 120/80)
Side effects are present with most medications and I understand that you don't want these to affect you.
High blood pressure can lead to over strain of the heart and blood vessels. This can, over the course of time, if not treated lead to heart disease, kidney failure and stroke.
If you develop any side effects to this particular medication, there are other medications which may be substituted to control blood pressure effectively.
However, to address your concerns regarding use of any medications at all for the long run.
It may be stopped only under the guidance of a physician and under a trial basis to see if your pressures are under control with lifestyle changes, exercise and diet.
This would be done by tapering (stopping) one dose at a time and closely monitoring your pressure.
If it is so, then you can stop it, else it needs to be continued at least until we figure out another way to keep it under control.
