Suggest Dosage For Glycomet SR
Question: My HBA1C reading for the last 2-3 quarters has been at 6.5-6.9. The recent Post Postprandial sugar reading was 208. I am due for a Hernia Operation in a month or so. My Doctor has advised to take Glycomet Sr 500 for a month before the Operation. My question is if i can stop this medicine after the Operation and recovery?
Brief Answer:
Hi Sir, That depends on your Sugar levels.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir, I have gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Sir, as of now, with the sugar levels you have mentioned, You need to continue medication. But as per your question, After the surgery, if the sugar levels are completely under control, you may stop the medication and see. If the sugar levels rise back, then you need to start medication again.
So, the Possibility of stopping medication exclusively depends on the control of sugar levels after the surgery.
Thank you sir.
