Suggest Dosage For Levofloxacin

Question: My wife was just prescribed levofloxcin for pneumonia and was dispensed tablet form. She currently has an esophageal stent in place due to cancer and has difficulty swallowing. Would it be alright crush one tablet tonight to start treatment as we won't be able to get prescription changed to liquid until tomorrow?
