Brief Answer:
Dose is calculated according to weight

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The drug is given according to weight.
For 20 kg child atleast 5mg/kg dosing should be started in two divided doses and increased to required level.
Regarding prognosis you need to provide details regarding any medical issues during pregnancy or during last 3 years. Any history of trauma or head injury.
In view of abnormal Mri findings it may be necessary to continue drugs for atleast 2-3 years and prognosis depends upon control of seizure.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
