Brief Answer:
Yes more or less; about 170 mg (OD or BD)

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Yes both Angstrom Magnesium and the regular magnesium vitamins you can get OTC are almost entirely the same except for the fact that the angstrom one is slightly more pure, but the difference is not that great.

As for dosage, it is usually recommended based on what the magnesium level is in the asthmatic patient as we need to avoid an overdose and also an insufficient amount. But usually about 170 mg (either once or twice a day) is prescribed.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
