Question: I had a heart attack 4years ago. My drugs are aspirin 75mg bisoprolol 2.5mg ramipril 10mg atrvastatin 80mg. Hospital told me I must take drugs same time every day. The company I work for want me to do night work every 4-6 weeks. Tried it once and had to alter the times I take pills. This made me feel dizzy, light head and feel a little sick for a few nights and the same when I switched back to days. Should I and the firm be messing around with my drugs like this. Is it safe. Plus I'm an hgv driver.

Brief Answer:
I don't recommend changing the pills schedule by yourself.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that there are many causes that may mimic this clinical scenario like: the sleeping time changing or sleep deprivation, change of the pills schedule, unstable blood pressure, heart failure, etc.

Have you measured your blood pressure lately? What were the values?

I would recommend you not to change your schedule of pill intake by yourself, despite your sleeping time. You should do changes to the scheme only after consulting with your attending physician.

I would also advise you to closely monitor your blood pressure and perform an ECG and a cardiac ultrasound to examine the cardiac function.

Hope to have been helpful!
