
Suggest Food Precautions To Be Taken Inspite Of Suffering From Vitiligo

Question: Hi doctor.. My sister got vitiligo last year.. She is taking medicines..and it's controlled and black pigmentation also started .. after that she is not using medicines regularly ..she is neglecting ...i want to know that she can have any kind of food? Or she should avoid non veg ,sour food, or like that? Will the patches come again if she does not take medicines regularly?
She takes stress much.. Will stress affects the disesase vitiligo at this time or ...
PLEASE GO THROUGH ALL QUESTIONS
1)She had photo therapy UVB treatment for 1 year.. She used medicines too.. Now doctor said , to stop taking photo therapy and use only medicines and creams .. Is that ok or she should continue photo therapy ..?
2) doctor said not to use rubber cheppals as it may lead to white patches.. Is it true ? And she have to avoid using materials like leather, rubber...? And can she have makeup I.e lipstick , foundation creams etc..
3) she have vitiligo on her scalp also ..so can she use hair serums and sprays?
4)she have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) since 7 years.. It's fine now But she used to take more stress from early.. After 3 years of her OCD .. She got vitiligo , a small patch on around a mole which is on tummy..we took her to doctor but at that time she ignored and did not use medicines properly.. Though it is stable for 3 years .. And after 5 years of her OCD she got thyroid.. How these are related? And I want to know that after OCD she got these diseases ..so by taking stress only she got Vitiligo?

Stress is one of the most important factor aggravating vitiligo. She must not take stress.
Ocd is not related to vitiligo but definitely hypothyroidism is related as both are autoimmune disorders.
She must take her medication regularly. Phototherapy has side effects hence your doctor might have stopped that.
Rubber has chemicals which cause hypopigmentation hence it should be avoided .
She can use all creams foundation and lip stick.
There is no problem in that.
