Brief Answer: Gluten for dietitian, and ADHD drug rehab withcare Detailed Answer: Thank you for asking! I am Dr S Khan and and i would like to help you with your concerns for your kid's Gluten free diet guidance and ADHD management. 1-Gluten Free Diet Guidance! XXXX i want you to know that Regardless of the causative factor(s) for gluten sensitivity, the treatment remains the same: a 100% gluten-free diet. The duration of this diet for celiac disease patients is for life, while currently unknown for those with gluten sensitivity. Ultimately, the best diet for eliminating the largest number of dietary antigens would be the elimination diet.An authentic elimination diet removes ('eliminates') all possible food allergens, of which the eight most common are milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish and crustacean shellfish. The American Dietetic Association has proposed an elimination diet for people, usually children, with food allergies. This diet works by eliminating the major food allergens for a period of time (1–4 weeks), after which foods containing the allergens are added back into the diet (reintroduced or 'rotated') to determine whether or not the child is sensitive to this food. It may be the best 'default diet' for people with gastrointestinal symptoms of unknown origin as a means to eliminate diet as a contributing factor. Failing to incorporate this step means that other food sensitivities, medications and treatments may mask the problem, interfere with symptom alleviation and possibly lead to a series of invasive, expensive tests that do not solve the underlying problem. For further management seek a dietitian and let them help your kid with the best possible options. 2-ADHD In CHild Miss XXXX you should know that Behavioral and pharmaceutical strategies are the 2 major components in the medical care of patients with ADHD.Most components of behavioral care take place outside of the primary care provider's office.Let me some them up for you in few main headings A-Schooling and educational Intervention: The age at diagnosis, early consultation and management and Teachers have an important function. Their periodic feedback about the child's school performance through the use of standardized scales, narrative descriptions, and telephone follow-up is generally an indispensable component of ongoing care.academic accommodations and adaptations is often necessary. B-Psychotherapy: ADHD coaching, group therapy sign ups, Peer feedback,Behavioural modification and family therapies by a team of psychologists, behavioral developmental pediatricians, clinical social workers, and advanced practice nurses is advised and recommended. C-Diet: Caffeinated food products like chocolate candy, chocolate milk and energy drinks are advised but in the limits to prevent any collateral damages. Avoid food additives, fresh natural products. D- A healthy regular physical activity and exercise and games played out door will help the kid and relieve the anxiety and depression associated with this ADHD. Medicinal Support: There are many options in medicines for the kids to select from like 1) Alpha2-adrenergic Agonists eg Guanfacine (Intuniv),Clonidine (Kapvay) or 2)Selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) eg Atomoxetine (Strattera) or 3)Antidepressants eg Imipramine (Tofranil),Bupropion (Wellbutrin),Desipramine (Norpramin) or 4)Psychostimulants eg Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Dexedrine Spansules, Dextrostat),Methylphenidate (Concerta, Methylin, Metadate, Ritalin, Quillivant XR),Dextroamphetamine and amphetamine mixture (Adderall),Dexmethylphenidate (Focalin, Focalin XR),Methylphenidate transdermal patch (Daytrana)and Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse). Get to the specialist and he will adjust the drug rehabilitation and discuss the options best for the kid. I hope it helps. take good care of the child and dont forget to close the discussion please. May the odds be ever in your favour.
