Additional test required only if there is continuous high fever
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. Please follow normal vegetarian foods for about a month. This is to help quick recovery from chicken pox. Non vegetarian food and spicy things are to be avoided for a month. After that you can eat in small amounts. Please take precautions from cold and rest at home for a week.
2. Drinking alcohol occasionally is acceptable. Regular drinking is to be controlled. You should not drink more than two drinks at a time.
3. For the mouth you can apply Zytee RB gel 3 to 4 times in the boils. For the head and body you can apply calamine lotion to keep the itching under control. Please do not scratch the scabs.
4. It is probably because of the weather and your immunity is low after dengue fever. If chicken pox is confirmed and there is no high fever then additional testing is not required.
5. Please take medicines given by your doctor as recommended. You can send me details of medicines prescribed if you want to know the details.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,

The medicines will control your rashes and treat chicken pox
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Medicines are appropriate for your condition. Dolo is for fever, allegra is to control itching and volcivir is for chickenpox rashes.
2. Slight cleaning of the ear can be done. Please do not insert earbuds deep in the ear canal. Little amount of wax is required for normal function. You can use ear bud once a week.
3. Right now there are rashes and you can have bath in warm water but do not rub over the rashes. Softly wipe water over rashes.
4. Increasing ventilation in your house will decrease humidity by allowing fresh air. Keep exhaust fans running in kitchen and bathroom when using them.
5. Avoid large collection of water in the house and surroundings. Wear dry clothes and keep clothes for drying outside.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.

From today morning the throat pain which I had has become severe. Do you suggest any other medicines.
regards,
Please do warm water salt gargle and take precaution and watch for few days
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Chicken pox is known to occur with fever, sore throat and cough or headache. Thee symptoms persist for up to a week in many patients.
2. Please take precautions, do warm water and salt gargle two times daily and eat soft diet which can be swallowed with minimum pain and discomfort. If there is any worsening or symptoms persisting for over five days then a secondary bacterial infection can be suspected.
3. Drink warm liquids and avoid alcohol and smoking. I will not suggest any antibiotics now but if there is increase in the sore throat after three to five days then it will be good to consult your doctor and take a prescription antibiotics for secondary bacterial infection.
Hope your query is answered.
