Brief Answer:
Good Morning

Detailed Answer:
Calm down. I need to know your height, weight, all diagnoses and all medications to get to know your case better. Can I ask why you think you can't have much protein, what led you to that conclusion? How do you eat now? What are your favorite food?

Tell me, are your eyes yellow; what tone of your skin - normal or yellowish? Who did your blood draw and what did they saw about your results? Have you tried any diets previously and what has worked and what hasn't and why? Do you take any supplements?

Please write back telling me what you ate in your last full day of food intake, your diagnosis, any other labs you haven't given me like LDL and HDL and fasting blood sugar and glomerular filtration rate if you have that (Gfr), and I can better guide you. I will be looking for your reply and specific questions. Sincerely, XXXXXXX shattler, ms,rdn

Brief Answer:
Hello - Good to hear from you again

Detailed Answer:
I have read your complex situation over and before I comment on diet I must comment on something rather dangerous you are doing. You are taking Red Yeast which acts lika statin and you must have your liver enzymes measured and the same care needs to be taken as if you were on a statin. Please let your doctor advise you on this as I see your LDL is 122, slightly high.

It is great you are reducing red meat as you will do much better to stick to vegetable analogues (soy protein made to taste and look like meat) and all lean meat; white turkey, white chicken)Keep your protein around 80 grams per day. Goal is no red meat. Use oatmeal liberally, oat bread, cheerios, low fat products, and your diet otherwise looks excellent.

I suggest small frequent meals to ease the pressure on the internal organs. Along the same lines, weight loss will help you. A weight loss goal is whatever is reasonable and achievable for you. I imagine 220 might be a long range goal.

Of course, exercising 30 minutes 5 times per week at 127 beats per minute.

Avoid excess fiber, follow a low sodium diet of less than 2300 mg/day.

I hope this helps give you a map to follow in terms of your diet.

Brief Answer:
I am trying to address your concerns

Detailed Answer:
I guess I am confused as to what you want. You are asking for a second opinion and I gave you one, apparently similar to your physicians. I didn't mention any enzymes although I did review your supplements with you, another important part of making your health better.

I did review with you some focus issues in your diet, what did I miss specifically?

You did mention four brown spots and spider veins briefly but did not state that they were causing you pain or discomfort. The spider veins are often associated with liver disease. The brown spots you speak of I really don't know where they are coming from.

Please guide me as to what I missed and how I can assist you better. XXXXXXX Shattler, Ms,RDN
