Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us.
I suggest Nasal saline drops ( Normal saline drops like nasoclear or rhino clear).
Instill 2 drops in each nostril 4-6 times a day.
I also suggest you steam inhalation twice a day after instill of nasal drops.. It reduces throat congestion and cold.
Warm salt water gargles twice a day.
You can use lozenges in flavour of ginger.
I suggest you drink ginger tea and warm water.
Avoid exposure to cold whether and cold food.
Use high pillow while sleeping which avoids cough during sleep.
If cough and cold persist or If she gets fever then you need to visit a doctor.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.

Can she drink any cough syrup when pregnan? What other remedies can you suggest for coughing. t
Brief Answer:
She can drink cough syrup.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I apologizes for delayed response.
Yes, she can use cough syrup, but she need to take with doctor's prescription after clinical examiantion. Medication depends upon whether she has dry or wet cough.
If she is having dry cough, syrup containing dextromethorphan is use ful to reduce her symptoms. If it is wet cough which produce sputum then she needs mucolytic cough suppressants.
You can give her soups, vitamin c contains food which increases immunity like guava, amla, oranges.
Once again I am very sorry about delayed response.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
