Feeling Throat Congestion, Difficulty In Swallowing. Reason?

A few days ago I began having a feeling like there might be a piece of food lodged in my throat. There is no pain and I can breathe and swallow fine, but each time I swallow I can feel something in my throat. Is there any way to dislodge whatever might be stuck? I have tried liquids, bread, everything and while it seems to have moved down a bit, it still feels as though it is stuck.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Foreign bodies such as a fish bone could be lodged in tonsillar area; also there could be abrasion caused by a foreign body which may no longer be in throat and could have been excreted. Anyways, to correctly identify if there is anything there, you need to be examined by an ENT specialist who could look into your throat through a mirror or an endoscope.

Sreenivasan
