Suggest Ideal Calcium Supplements For A Person With IBS

Can you prescribe me some calcium medicine which i can take daily.
Actually a doctor told me to stop drinking milk and milk products as she doubted that I am suffering from IBS.
It's been nearly 6 months, I stopped drinking milk. but i was taking curd and buttermilk sometimes.
now i feel that calcium level in my body is getting low. please tell me if there is any test to know our calcium level.
Now a days, i have started feeling problems in teeths. Before this i had never faced any problem regarding teeths. I feel pain evertime while chewing. I feel like they are getting hollowed. even i feel pain while I am not eating anything. the pain is everyone. feels like they will drop from my mouth.
I have started eating 2eggs four times a week, is this good to get the daily requirement of calcium.
Thanks
Take calcium supplement only after getting advised from a Physician.
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..
I understand your concern but like to assure you that if you take nutritious meals with a proper blend of vegetables, fruits, pulses and grains then you can very much meet your daily requirements of calcium even without drinking milk..
Also as you are taking eggs daily it is enough to meet with the requirements..
Foods that are rich in calcium are leafy vegetables, yogurt, broccoli, nuts, fish, eggs, XXXXXXX sesame seeds, cheese etc are calcium rich foods..
But if you still doubt consult a Physician and get evaluated first and a blood calcium test can be done for ruling out calcium levels. If at all they are low then calcium supplement can be taken, otherwise not..
As far as teeth are concerned pain can be due to teeth or gum related Infection and not probably calcium.
So better once consult a Dentist and get the teeth checked up..
If any problem is found, it will be treated accordingly..
Please write back for more queries..
Hope this information helps..
