Brief Answer:
Chlamydial test should be done if sexually active.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Chlamydia infection is a very common sexually transmitted disease in humans and a major infectious cause of human genital and eye disease.

It can be transmitted during vaginal, anal or oral sex and passed from an infected mother to her baby during childbirth.

However, it is ASYMPTOMATIC among 50-70% infected women over long time. It can cause PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) and some other condition.

If you are currently sexually ACTIVE and have one or more partner, then I suggest to undergo Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) like Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) through swab from vaginal, cervical or urethral discharge. It will be more worthwhile. Kindly, consult with your local doctor.

Otherwise, Chlamydial infection is quite UNLIKE if you are not sexually involved over the past 9 years.

Hope, it helps for your information.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you may get clinical symptoms by this time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

If your blood test report shows HIV positive, then you will already get various symptoms within past 9 years including fever, cough, rash, weight loss, diarrhea, chest infection, Lymph enlargement etc. However, it may vary patient to patient with different time period.

In that case, chlamydial infection test should be done and proper treatment should be started after consultation with your doctor.

Hope, I have answered your query. Good luck.

Brief Answer:
Details are given below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I am very sorry for misinterpretation of your asked query and language.

1) If your full blood count report is within NORMAL limit, then chance of HIV or other infection is quite minimal or unlike. However, definite test is advisable for the same as confirmation whether you get clinical symptoms or not.

2) Chlamydial test is different entity (may or may not get symptom) and it is advisable to undergo that if you are currently sexually active. Otherwise, it is NOT required.

If you have any other query, I will be happy to help you once again. Good luck.
