Suggest Medication For Back Pain, Headache And Cold
Question: Hi,
I am suffering from cold [running nose + cough], there is no productive cough or bodyaches. I have been taking the tablet 'RELENT' for 3 times a day yesterday. I have also developed a backache from yesterday and the pain is a bit severe. I consulted a General Physician who recommended Zerodol P twice a day. I took one dose a few hours back and have seen no changes with my condition.
What medication can I take for my Backache that does not intereact with my cold medication - Aleegra 120 & Monteck LC? Earlier for my backache, I took Powergesic MR tablets twice a day and had good relief. Is it safe to take this now along with my cold medication?

Brief Answer:
Powergesic or Ultracet can be taken.
Detailed Answer:
HI
Thanks for posting your query.
Powersegic MR may cause mild drowsiness and if taken with Monteck LC you may experience more drowsiness. There is no problem taking Powergesic with Allegra.
Instead you can try Tab Ultracet with can be taken either with Montek LC or Allegra.
If inspite of taking Powergesic ( or Ultracet ) the back pain doesn't subside in 3-4 days then you need to consult your doctor again and get examined.
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.
Regards.

Thank You Doctor. I am assuming that the cold and backpain are unrelated seperate issues and if my Backpain is not getting resolved then I should contact an Orthopaedician? Can you please confirm on this?
