Suggest Medication For Elbow Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: I have pain on the outside and top of my right elbow. When I press on the tendon the pain intensifies. I hadn't injured it. Aleve does give some relief as does applying airnica cream. What else can I do to treat this?

Brief Answer:
Diclofenac creme, oral anti inflammatory drugs depending on gastritis history

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

It might be important to know a bit with regards to your past medical history. Have you ever been having gastritis or not? If you have no history of gastritis or peptic ulcer disease, using non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs is very welcome under such circumstances.

I suggest using Diclofenac creme, applied to the area, associated with oral non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs. IN case you have no past history of gastritis, 100mg of Diclofenac associated to the creme taken twice daily for about ten days should be sufficient. IN case of a history of peptic ulcer disease, Diclofenac creme, associated with Celecoxibs, less irritating to the stomach walls should offer you relief.

Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health. Please, do feel free asking further questions in case of need.
