Suggest Medication For Flu While On Losartan Potassium

Medications for flu while taking Losartan
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.
I assume that you have high blood pressure and that you are also now experiencing the flu or other upper respiratory infection. Because you have hypertension you can not use any medications that have decongestants. This would mean any nasal sprays for congestion like dristan or neosynephrine. Also any products that have phenylephrine. You can take any antihistamine cough suppressant or mucolytic agents.
For the congestion I recommend using a nasal saline nasal spray or if possible a XXXXXXX pot.
For cough guafenesin and dextromethorphan
For body aches and fever acetaminophen, ibuprofen or naprosyn
And for overall health a good bowl of chicken soup
I hope you feel better soon

Unfortunately no
Detailed Answer:
Because you have hypertension the phenylephrine in the nyquil may raise your blood pressure. So any of the nyquil or dayquil products that list phenylephrine as an ingredient is not to be used. Unfortunately any of the medications that help with congestion will cause increase in blood pressure and limit your choices of products.

Nyquil
Detailed Answer:
You can use the plain nyquil cold and flu or the nyquil cough or the dayquil cough. All the other products have the decongestant

Detailed Answer:
You are wondering if side effects from Lorsartan would get worse after 3 years. Not usually as your body has been taking this medication for that period of time it would not all of a sudden change.

Yes
Detailed Answer:
Yes all these symptoms together maybe part of an anxiety problem. I would recommend that you see your medical provider though to be sure that is the cause of your symptoms. There are other things like electrolyte abnormalities or renal disease or circulation problems that can also cause fatigue and feet cramping.
