Osteoarthritis is a wear and tear disease - means with aging and some genetic factors and our life style can slowly damage joints.

here exercise, hot water fomentation, calcium and vitamin D supplementation may help, but if still pain persists, one can try paracetamol (as per WHO guidelines). paracetamol is the safest medicine.

x ray and other investigations are required to see amount of damage in joint to advice exercise..
