Suggest Medication For Severe Pain After Tooth Extraction
Question: Hi.. My wife has gone through tooth extraction where 2 teeth (wisdom tooth) got extracted together today in 1 hour long process. She got few stitches as well post surgery in gums. Dentist recommended TRAMAZAC (similar to TRAMADOL I guess) for severe pain. But even after 2 hours of taking tramazac, there is hardly any relief in pain. Can I give her Combiflam as earlier before surgery, combiflam worked good for her in tooth ache. Additionally, she has been prescribed AUGMENTIN 625 and PAN D as well.
Brief Answer:
Combiflam can be taken..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
As per your complain Tramzac contain active ingredient Tramadol and can help in reducing severe pain..
But in case it doesn't work Combiflam can be taken that contains Ibuprofen and Paracetamol..
Other medications that are given like Augmentin and Pan D should be continued..
In case if the pain does not get better you can get painkiller injection like voveran for faster relief..
Also make her do cool compresses over the cheek..
Please revert back for further queries..
Hope this helps..
