why do I not feel real? will this pass? is it from cting the benzos.....please tell me what to do to get my life back....
Brief Answer:
restart xanax; SSRIs.
Detailed Answer:
You stopped xanax cold turkey. I think would have acted a precipitating factor for your depression.
If I would have been your treating doctor, I would have restarted your xanax.
Along with it, I would have given you an SSRI antidepressant like lexapro or prozac.
The SSRIs take 2-3 weeks to show their effect. After this period, I would have considered reducing xanax gradually.
This would have been my treatment plan for you.
In my opinion and clinical experience, mirtazapine and gabapentin can cause drowsiness and hangover like state in many cases. There is no complete sedation (like benzos) (the effects may vary from person to person, however).
These drugs would not have been my first choice for you.
Kibdly discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

just woke up from another night of taking that medicine I didn't sleep well at all!!! I feel really wierd....should I continue to take this mixture
Brief Answer:
change of drugs needed
Detailed Answer:
As I told you earlier, gabapentin and mirtazapine cause drowsiness more than sleep.
I would not recommend the use of this mixture.
Kindly request your doctor to change the drugs.
Restarting of xanax must be considered.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

if I had xanax here would you use it? will it work if I was having interdose withdrawal....can it lift my head out of this hell it's in....can I ever be happy and forget about this hell again? are you a benzo wise doc? just terrified
Brief Answer:
xanax will help you.
Detailed Answer:
I would most certainly use it for you.
I feel you never settled after stopping xanax 3 months earlier. You are experiencing, what i feel is, protracted withdrawal.
I prefer to use benzos in my patients when they have extreme depression and anxiety.
So, in my opinion, you would feel better with xanax.
Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Take care.
Thanks.
