Answered by Dr. Neel Kudchadkar (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Remove the cause and use antioxidant gels.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. Submucous fibrosis is a condition of the mucosa of the oral cavity.
2. Please avoid spicy, irritating foods and tobacco or pan masala.
3. You need antioxidants. To supplement your therapy.
4. Locally applied antioxidant gels like Ubiquinone are frequently effective.
5. The only sure fire 100% guaranteed way to stop progression of submucous
fibrosis is to stop that which is causing it. Tobacco, Pan masala, smoking, alcohol
and even very spicy foods cause it.

Kindly write back to me if you have any doubts, or other health issues.

Thanks,

MY BROTHER BASICALLY A SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENT FOR MORE THAN 2 DECADES AND IS UNDER MEDICATION. IN 2009 WE CAME TO UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS ALSO SUFFERING FROM LEFT GIRDLE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY AND IS PROGRESSING. WE WERE GIVEN TO. KNOW BY NEUROLOGISTS THAT THERE IS NO CURE FOR IT. HOW TO MAKE LIFESTYLE SUITABLE FOR HIM?

Brief Answer:
A practical solution and lifestyle for your brother.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1.Schizophrenia is now no longer a terminal disease that goes on degenerating the individual suffering from it.
2. There are now new drugs that revolutionize their lives and make them functional.
3. The problem with schziophrenia is that when it begins, certain drugs have to be given that cause side effects that make a person, any person, including you or me, to lose motivation, enthusiasm and zest for life.
4. In the initial phase, these drugs, like classical antipsychotics are meant to be given for a few weeks.
5. Unfortunately, practically the cure of schizophrenia has become worse than the disease itself.
6. So, I recommend drugs like paliperidone, levosulpiride and aripiprazole. These restore enthusiasm and urges, that are found in normal persons.
7. Kindly go to a psychiatrist and mention that you would wish to alter the medications.
8. Schizophrenics work best in jobs that are repititive due to their obssessions which get used up in a positive manner. Thus, if you, with your wisdom can judge a good job with a computer (work at home) that involves repititive activity.
9. The schizophrenic patient is really cured when he can earn his money, and stand up on his own feet. You then have nothing to fear about the future.
10. Schizophrenia is a disease of the thoughts, and schizophrenics are very creative with art and pictures, so if you install a painting program on a computer
(for instance, to design logos) then you might find that indeed, with the help of drugs like levosulpiride, you have a brother who is socially fit.
11. Muscular dystrophy may not have a cure, but it certainly has a palliation. As such, work on a computer does not require, agile movements of the muscles in any way, So,....

I would kindly like your opinions upon this practical lifestyle for your brother.

I thank you,
Regards,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar

Doctor sir,
Thank you very much for you are very exhaustive about schitzophernia.

The present syndrome of muscular dystrophy whether it is terminal or shall we have the option of prolonging th end though not through medication otherwise by physiotherapy. Thete is a mushroom growth of non conventional people challenging to cure within a timeframe. Is it advisable to go behind them.? As wr are for a cure, we may not be in a better position tp take a decision. Kindly advise me this last question of the slot.

Brief Answer:
Be unconventional in your approach and you will get spectacular results.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Yes, I am a non conventional doctor.

1. XXXXXXX you are a very educated, smart person. All doctors like such patients. I said this because of your refusal to accept conventional therapies for diseases, and your personal research into options, to and fro. Your open mindedness to new vistas of lifestyle "cures". Also, I find you a very practical pragmatic person. You are very much concerned about your brother, and according to my 11 years experience, few people really are concerned about schizophrenics. This includes their own supposed doctors. Schizophrenia makes a person helpless. Now, all this shows that you are a good human being too.

2. I strongly advise against exclusive drug therapy for muscular dystrophy.

3. Drugs can alter and worsen the position of the patient as he has to take
medications that interact with them. This will create "new" problems. Such
problems are called "iatrogenic" problems. Simply meaning, problems created
by doctors, with additional drugs, making the cure worse than the disease.
You do not want such problems.

. I advise you to use physiotherapeutic means to palliate the patient.
Why? Because, in Dystrophy you know that the muscle weakens due to
lack of electrical stimulation by nerves. The PT will use currents to maintain
muscle tonicity. This is 2015. We have very good results.

4. Talking about terminal issues. I want to point out that if your brothers mind and
body are challenged with tasks on a daily basis, this being the basis of rational emotive behavioural therapeutic approaches, then there is a 100% guarantee of a full productive life. Let me point out the scientist XXXXXXX Hawking, who has severe muscle atrophy to the extent he is paralyzed beyond comprehension.
Yet, he is alive, well flourishing, winning prizes in science and even is married.
(Please check these facts for yourself)

5. Thus Cognitive Behavioual Thearpy, Dialectical Behavioral Techniques, REBT, Logotherapy will be the singular lifestyle alteration that will neutralize both your brothers schizophrenia and let him go on to a productive life ahead.

6. Just because your brother had 20 years of schizophrenia and suffered... and perhaps did not lead a fulfilling life does not mean that he cannot be a very productive person for the next 20 years.

I am very optimistic about this outcome. And so is the entire medical scientific
community. Please do not research on google. Read up either Wikipedia or National Library of Medicine.

Feel free to engage in dialogue with me.
Your opinions are encouraged.

My final opinion: No more excessive drugs. - alternate scientific approaches, many of which I have mentioned above. Rationally based, and logically backed high positive and optimistic attitudes and perceptions.

Thanks,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
