What Causes Pain In The Right Arm?
Question: Hi,
I have been having pain in my right arm for several months. Last month my Ortho did an xray didn't see anything, so he gave me a steroid shot. Yesterday I noticed a dent right below my shoulder where the muscle should be. Any ideas?

In my opinion this dent ,you are feeling is, probably due to muscle atrophy which occurs rapidly in any shoulder pathology.
I suggest get a MRI to diagnose the cause of shoulder pain.

Treatment of atrophy is by active exercises to build up the strength. For this you may need good Range of movement and no pain. The recovery may take a long time but you will have to adhere to exercise regime.

I will follow up with my ortho for an MRI but can you tell me more like how is it treated etc.....
