Anything stronger than Clomid can hyperstimulate the ovaries. This results in maturation of two or more follicles into eggs. This can result into multiple pregnancies (twin or triple pregnancy). Clomid 50 is of right strength and dose for safe ovulation induction.

i took an opk every day on my cycle following the clomid on the five days with the first morning urine and the smiley face symbol only came up one time in the entire cycle 34 days !

Smiley face indicate ovulation. Ovum survives for about 2 to 3 days in the uterus. Intercourse for 4 consecutive days from the day of ovulation will be fruitful.

Sperm count decreases by ejaculating on consecutive days. I recommend your husband to abstain from sex for minimum of three days before your expected ovulation day. Start intercourse on ovulation day and continue everyday for a minimum of three days.

Life span of Ovum is about 2 to 3 days. Hence, the chances are high if intercourse with good sperm count is attempted soon after ovulation.
