Hello doctor
Yes I take Glycomet 250 once a day.
My last period was XXXXXXX 30 but today July 26 it has started with spotting which I experienced for a couple of months early this year and then it had gone. But now am spotting again.
My cycles are on the heavy side but sometimes they are light. I can never predict what they will be like but they are pretty regular.
I am 5'3' n weigh 67.5 kg

Brief Answer:
OCP can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for the information.I understand your concern.
In my opinion usually primolutN tablets are taken starting 2-3 days before the expected period.
But as in PCOD the periods are irregular and can't predict them I suggest you to take combined hormonal pills of 21 tablets pack like krimson 35.
As you got the period start taking the pills from 5 th day onwards and you will get the period within 2-3 days after stopping them.
If you dont want the period at that time start a new pack immediately without break after the first pack.
So you will get the period after stopping the second pack.
But dont take more than 2 packs continuously.
Krimson 35 also help in treating PCOD.
Your weight appears more when compared to your height. The optimum weight should be 60 kg.So adapt a healthy lifestyle like exercise daily and avoid junk food.
Weight reduction is very important in PCOD.It itself helps in regularisation of cycles.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Is there any other way I can delay menstruation than OCP? I am worried about the side effects. I have adopted a healthy lifestyle and cut down my weight from 86 kg to 67. Am worried whether I will regain weight or other symptoms like bloating.
I have also been reading about nonrethnisone tablets. Are they safer and better? Kindly advice

Brief Answer:
norethistrone can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, goodday.I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion the short term usage of OCP might not cause weight gain.
But if you are able to know the expected date of the period then norethistrone tablets
can be taken.
PrimolutN is same norethistrone tablet. It is to be taken one daily 2-3 days starting before the expected period and continue till the date you want.
Then you might get the period in 2-3 days.
It is always better to postpone periods upto 7-10 days but not more to avoid hormonal imbalance.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.
Best regards...Dr.srilatha
